Wharfedale is the British heavyweight champion of value-for-money loudspeakers. Every single component, from woofer cone to cabinet, is both designed and built in-house. This creates unparalleled quality control while maintaining the lowest possible price. And with a range that extends from entry-level to extreme luxury, Wharfedale has a specific loudspeaker to suit you – anywhere along your audio journey.

The increased size and separation of mid & bass frequency drivers produces bigger scale, greater dynamics and thundering bass performances from floorstanding speakers. And while floorstanding speakers are more expensive and more demanding on amplification than their bookshelf counterparts, the greatly improved performance suggests it’s not without good reason.

THE FULL-MEASURE FLOORSTANDER

Luxury listening experiences are no longer reserved for the fattest wallets. Aura piggybacks off the R&D efforts of Wharfedale’s flagship Elysian series to deliver outstanding sound for each dollar you put down. And Aura 3 is a full-measure audiophile floorstander in every way, only with a lighter physical footprint.

AURA 3. DISCRETE FLOORSTANDING POWER

This 3-way floostanding loudspeaker includes a massive 27 x 90mm AMT high frequency transducer with 4” (100mm) midrange and dual 5” (130mm) bass glass fibre matrix drivers. At 1037 x 246 x 300mm, Aura 3 is a discrete but powerful medium-to-large listening/living room floorstander.

UNEARTH THE REALISM OF MUSIC & MOVIES

Air Motion Transformers are vastly superior to conventional high-frequency drivers. Cleaner, clearer and more accurate, AMTs unearth the subtle nuances buried beneath the limitations of traditional dome designs. Nuances that serve to create a sense of unparalleled realism from your listening experience.

AFFORDABLE FIRST-GRADE LISTENING

The genesis of Aura’s advanced technology is founded in the elite ELYSIAN research project, a multi-year R&D undertaking that produced Wharfedale’s flagship range. By incorporating Elysian’s top shelf technologies, Aura can deliver you a first-grade audiophile experience at a remarkably affordable price.

THE HIGH END IS HIGHLY ENGAGING

High-flexibility rubber surrounds, high-flux magnetic fields, and die-cast aluminium chassis mounted with rigid high tensile bolts. Aura’s driver systems are intricate engineering marvels with one aim: whatever your choice of entertainment, you are always highly engaged.

CROSS OVER TO THE LIGHT

With over 90 years of crossover design experience, the highest grade components, and a world-leading crossover architect (Peter Comeau) at the helm, Aura is finely-tuned over hundreds of hours of listening tests to ensure that each driver fires in perfect harmony.

BASS REFLEX-IBILITY

Speaker placement is a breeze thanks to Aura’s intelligent Slot Loaded Profiled Port (SLPP), a bass reflex design that distributes the internal cabinet pressure through discrete ports in the plinth. Aura now sounds superb wherever you put it, giving you greater flexibility.

THE ART OF AURA CABINETS

A multi-layer construction of differing woods, designed to reduce panel resonances below audibility, is wrapped around stunning curves to reduce unwanted waveform reflections both inside and out of Aura’s cabinets. They’re an engineering work of art that also look like art in your home.
