Founded in the 1970s as a company dedicated to acoustic innovation, Mission quickly established itself as a leading loudspeaker manufacturer with models like the iconic Mission 700 – the first of its kind to introduce inverted bass & treble arrangements. Today, Mission very cleverly fuses Hi-Fi heritage with contemporary design to deliver on its mantra: music is the master, technology is the slave.

700 is a modern reimagining of the famous Mission original – a 2-way standmount loudspeaker (the first ever with inverted driver geometry). And while it pays considerable homage to the original, new 700 incorporates the most advanced materials and design elements available today, delivering remarkable audio quality.

MORE THAN MERE NOSTALGIA

Vintage speakers are unquestionably cool, supported by their meteoric rise in recent popularity. But larger cabinets with bigger drive units – like Mission 700 – have acoustic advantages over modern slim speakers with smaller footprints. You see, it’s not simply nostalgia; it’s physics. And it sounds incredible.

MISSION 700

This 2-way vented-box standmount loudspeaker features a 165mm mineral-loaded polypropylene mid/bass driver married to a 25mm microfibre dome tweeter. Available in two hand-veneered timber finishes (walnut & black oak) with optional speakers stands, Mission 700 is a true modern icon.

TURNING OLD IDEAS UPSIDE DOWN

The original 700 pioneered Inverted Driver Geometry, positioning the high frequency tweeter below the mid-bass driver. IDG fine-tunes time alignment by equalising driver signal paths between loudspeaker and listener, giving you a vivid, transparent, and seamlessly coherent listening experience.

POLYPROPYLENE PERFECTION

A mineral-loaded polypropylene composite offers tighter, faster low frequency response over traditional polypropylene diaphragms. And when mounted to a die-cast chassis with large rear windows to reduce early reflections, 700‘s dynamics breathe life into every single track.

THEY'LL NEVER BELIEVE YOU

With white laminated front baffles reminiscent of Mission’s iconic original, 700 is available in two breathtaking true timber finishes – walnut or black oak. Superbly crafted and hand finished, there’s no doubt your friends will marvel, but they’ll never believe what you paid.

HIGH TIME FOR AN UPGRADE

Missing musical spark? Or worse, fatigued from bright treble delivery? Mission 700 produces ultra-smooth yet dynamic high frequency response thanks to its lightweight microfibre dome backed by a damped reach chamber. So it’s brimming with detail but removed from the piercing terrors of fatigue.

DEEP BUT HIGHLY DETAILED

There’s a lot of detail missing from many typical “one note” bass-reflex systems. But 700’s front bass port is fine-tuned to deliver textured, natural bass response down to 38Hz. And its strongly flared design smooths airflow to eradicate distortion.

SIMPLICITY IN HARMONY

The equalised output of inverted driver arrangements allows for far simpler crossover design. And this simplicity, combined with high-quality components like air-core inductors and polypropylene capacitors, lets the music through, creating harmony across high, mid and low frequencies.
