Phono Preamplifier

A phono preamplifier boosts the microscopic signal from your stylus so your main amplifier can actually play it. Dedicated phono preamps are an audiophile preference because they isolate delicate analog signals from noisy internal amp electronics. Less electrical interference means a quieter background—noise that would otherwise mask subtle details. That means cleaner sound, and the flexibility to upgrade to sensitive MC cartridges later.
