• What models are in the Wharfedale NOVA Series?
There are four NOVA subwoofers, named after their driver size: NOVA 8, NOVA 10, NOVA 12 and NOVA 15. Every model pairs a long-throw driver with a passive radiator and is powered by a built-in Class-D amplifier.
• Which NOVA subwoofer is right for my room?

Model	Driver + passive radiator	Amplifier	Extends to	Best for
  NOVA 8	8-inch + 10-inch	200W Class-D	33Hz	Compact stereo and desktop systems
  NOVA 10	10-inch + 10-inch	260W (500W peak)	29Hz	Medium-sized rooms
  NOVA 12	12-inch + 12-inch	280W (770W peak)	28Hz	Larger rooms
  NOVA 15	15-inch + 15-inch	360W (770W peak)	28Hz	Demanding home theatre installations

• Why does NOVA use a passive radiator instead of a port?
A port can make an audible chuffing noise when it is pushed hard. NOVA uses a down-firing passive radiator instead, which extends the bass efficiently without a port. The aim is the speed of a sealed subwoofer with the scale of a ported one.
• Is the NOVA Series good for music as well as home theatre?
Yes. NOVA is designed for both. Its built-in DSP adjusts the bass balance to suit low and high listening levels, so it keeps its depth during quiet late-night listening and stays clean when the volume goes up.
• Can I match a NOVA subwoofer to my existing speakers?
Yes. Every NOVA has crossover, phase and level controls, so you can set where the subwoofer takes over from your main speakers and blend it into your room. For music, a crossover of 60 to 80Hz is a good starting point.
