Founded in the 1970s as a company dedicated to acoustic innovation, Mission quickly established itself as a leading loudspeaker manufacturer with models like the iconic Mission 700 the first of its kind to introduce inverted bass & treble arrangements. Today, Mission very cleverly fuses Hi-Fi heritage with contemporary design to deliver on its mantra: music is the master, technology is the slave.

770 is a modern reimagining of the famous Mission original – a 2-way standmount loudspeaker designed & manufactured entirely in the UK. And while it pays considerable homage to the original, new 770 incorporates the most advanced materials and design elements available today, delivering phenomenal audio quality.

This is a crazy nuanced and intelligible speaker. They have the kind of sound I want in my life. And should you have the opportunity to listen to them yourself I bet many of you are going to feel the same.

I think this is a phenomenal speaker. It over performed in what I expected out of it. I kept listening to them and I kept digging them more and more and more. I had this emotional connection to them.

PURCHASE A PIECE OF HISTORY

Designed, engineered, and manufactured in the UK, Mission 770 returns to re-stake its claim as the British loudspeaker others are measured by. Enhanced by innovative modern technologies, the all-new 770 ensures that your listening space is the sound other systems are measured by.

HELL OF AN ORIGIN STORY

So famed is the musicality of the original Mission 770 Mk1 that over many listening sessions with Mission’s Director of Acoustic Design, Peter Comeau, its polypropylene cone and resonance-controlled cabinet became the emphasis for designing the new model.

POLYPROPYLENE PERFECTION

A 200mm polypropylene mid/bass driver, mineral-loaded and uniquely profiled to increase rigidity, is mounted to an 8” die-cast chassis housing a carefully honed and modern motor system. This delivers truly expressive midrange and earth-shattering bass response.

MISSION 770

This 2-way vented-box standmount loudspeaker features a 200mm polypropylene mid/bass driver married to a 25mm soft dome tweeter. Available in two hand-veneered timber finishes and including complementary speaker stands, Mission 770 is the quintessential pedigree British loudspeaker.

INFORMED BY THE ORIGINAL

Today’s advanced software mapping was used to accurately measure the acoustic crossover slopes. This allowed engineers to optimise the crossover’s performance while maintaining both the simplicity and the elegance of the original design, so as to retain its musical character.

BE THE TALK OF THE TOWN

True timber veneers (finished in a stunning black oak or rosy-tinged walnut) are combined with a white laminated front baffle to echo the original’s iconic style. The result is a timeless furniture piece that becomes the talking point of any listening space.

HIGH-END HIGH FREQUENCY

770s microfibre dome tweeter is backed by a damped rear chamber, pushing the fundamental resonance well below the crossover point. This delivers super smooth highs that perfectly match the polypropylene mid/bass, ensuring an evenness of character across 770s entire frequency range.

LOW-END EXCITEMENT

770s front bass port is uniquely tuned to avoid the “one-note bass” typical of many bass-reflex systems, creating textured, natural bass response below 30Hz. And by strongly flaring its profile at both inlet and outlet, it smooths air flow to eradicate distortion.

DEVIL IN THE DETAILS

Luxury audio is about the little touches. After all, you’re not simply buying a new pair of speakers; you’re purchasing part of a legacy. So, from your sound quality right down to your speaker accessories, 770 delivers everything with the finest attention to detail.

SOUND QUALITY ON A PEDESTAL

High carbon steel stands, internally damped to control resonance and fitted with adjustable, stainless steel bass spikes, are uniquely designed to position the speaker at the ideal listening height, placing the quality of your sound on the highest pedestal.
